Sahrawi Red Crescent appeals donor countries and agencies aid following the refugee camps floods

Chahid El-Hafed(Saharawi refugee camps), October, 21 2015 (SPS) -The Saharawi Red Crescent (SRC) appealed  “donor countries, agencies aid, associations of solidarity, as well as civil society and nongovernmental organizations to send “urgent aid” to the Saharawi refugees Camps after heavy floods in the camps on 16 and 17 this month.

SRC statement said the refugees are in urgent need of humanitarian aid, specifically tents, food and medicine pointing out that the Saharawi Red Crescent, in cooperation with the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the camps, is conducting a detailed assessment to evaluate the extent of the damage and urgent needs, Both also formed a joint commission with the office of the World Food Programme (WFP), UNICEF, Oxfam and CISP to identify the best way of providing help.

It worth mentioning here that weather forecasts in the camps are still threatened by falling rain until Wednesday.  (SPS)
